Five-step process for making power cables
1. Copper wire drawing, is the first process of power cord production, at room temperature, the application of wire drawing machine through a or a number of tensile die hole, so that its section is reduced, length added, strength improvement.
2 Power line monofilament annealing, copper wire heating to a certain temperature, by recrystallization method to improve the toughness of monofilament, reduce the strength of monofilament, in order to meet the requirements of electric wire and cable conductor core. The key of annealing process is the oxidation of copper wire.
In order to improve the flexibility of the power line and facilitate the laying of the device, the conductor core is twisted with multiple monofilaments. The conductor core can be divided into regular stranding and irregular stranding. Irregular stranding is divided into bundle stranding, concerted complex stranding, special stranding. In order to reduce the occupied area of the conductor and reduce the geometric size of the power line, the common circle is changed into semicircle, fan shape, tile shape and compacted circle.
4 Power cord mainly adopts extruded solid insulation layer (insulation extruded).
In order to ensure the molding degree and reduce the deformation of the power cable, the multi-core power cable needs to be twisted into a circular shape.
